Force of Nature kicks off their, like, totally rad 8th Season with an evening of LIVE theatre the only way they know how: an 80's Style RUSH! But this isn't just any RUSH. No way, José! This RUSH features unofficial mashup parodies of hit movies from the decade that brought us big hair, neon legwarmers, brick cellular phones, and so much more!
The RUSH is Force of Nature’s unique play festival format, uniting actors, writers and directors in a collaborative whirlwind of creative energy.
The premise is simple: playwrights select at random a pair of movies via a lottery along with the respective songs. They then select several props from the decade, a randomly drawn cast of three performers - to author an original, short play that mashes the movies together while incorporating lyrics from the songs into the dialogue. Directors and their casts then rehearse, tech and mount the entire production over the course of just a few weeks. It’s fast, fun and always results in a memorable experience for all. Don't miss it!
